Website Cost in Pakistan (2026): What You’ll Actually Pay

“How much for a website?” is the first thing almost every business owner asks us on WhatsApp. It’s also the hardest question to answer in one line, because a website can cost PKR 20,000 or PKR 2,000,000, and both prices can be fair.

So instead of a vague “it depends”, here’s how website pricing actually works in Pakistan right now, what pushes the number up or down, and the yearly costs nobody mentions until the bill arrives.

The short answer

Going by current market rates, most website projects in Pakistan fall into these ranges:

Type of websiteWhat you usually getTypical range (PKR)
Basic business website3 to 5 pages, contact form, WhatsApp button25,000 – 50,000
Professional business websiteCustom design, 8 to 15 pages, blog, basic SEO setup60,000 – 150,000
Small to medium online storeWooCommerce or Shopify, product catalogue, COD and online payments50,000 – 200,000
Large or custom online storeHundreds of products, integrations, custom features200,000 – 600,000+
Custom web app or portalLogins, dashboards and databases built from scratch300,000 and up

If a quote is far below these numbers, ask what’s missing. If it’s far above, ask what you’re paying for. Both are fair questions, and a good agency will happily answer them.

What actually changes the price

1. Ready-made theme or custom design

A ready-made theme set up with your logo and colours is quick and affordable. A design built from scratch around your brand takes many more hours. Neither is wrong. A new bakery in Lahore doesn’t need what a national clothing brand needs.

2. Number of pages, and who writes them

Ten pages of text and photos take real time to plan, write and lay out. If your content is ready, the job moves faster. If the agency writes it for you, that’s extra work, and it should be, because good copy is what turns visitors into customers.

3. Features

Booking forms, Urdu and English versions, product filters, delivery charges by city, customer accounts, payment gateways. Every feature adds development and testing time. List what you truly need on day one and add the rest later.

4. The platform

WordPress, Shopify and custom code all cost differently, both upfront and every year after. We compared the two most popular options in Shopify vs WordPress for Pakistani brands.

5. Who builds it

A freelancer, a small agency and a large software house will each price the same website differently. A lower price usually means less support after launch. Ask one simple question: what happens if something breaks at 11pm during a sale?

The yearly costs people forget

Building the website is a one-time cost. Running it isn’t. Budget for these every year:

  • Domain name: usually a few thousand rupees a year for a .com or .pk.
  • Hosting: from around PKR 5,000 a year for a small site, and more for busy online stores. Shopify replaces hosting with a monthly plan billed in US dollars.
  • Paid plugins or apps: many WordPress plugins and Shopify apps charge monthly or yearly.
  • Maintenance: updates, backups and security checks. Skipping this is how most small business sites get hacked.
  • SSL certificate: normally free with decent hosting today, but confirm it.

Red flags when comparing quotes

  • The quote is one number with no list of what’s included.
  • Nobody mentions who will own the website, domain and hosting accounts. It should be you, always.
  • “Unlimited revisions” with no timeline. That usually ends in a project that never finishes.
  • No plan for after launch: support, fixes and updates.
  • They can’t show you live websites they’ve built.

How to get an accurate quote quickly

You’ll get a faster and more honest price from any agency if you share these five things upfront:

  1. What your business does and who your customers are
  2. Two or three websites you like, and what you like about them
  3. The pages you need, and whether your text and photos are ready
  4. Must-have features: payments, booking, WhatsApp and so on
  5. Your rough budget and when you want to launch

Sharing a budget doesn’t mean you’ll be overcharged. It lets a good agency suggest what makes sense for that amount, instead of guessing.

Our take

A website isn’t an expense to squeeze as low as possible. It’s where people decide whether to trust you. A cheap site that loads slowly, breaks on mobile and never leads anyone to WhatsApp ends up costing more in lost customers than a proper one would have cost to build.

Start with what you need now, build it properly, and grow it as your business grows.
